For families & friends
You’re part of this, too.
When someone you love is seriously injured, life changes for you as well. You are welcome to ask for support or make the first enquiry.

A welcome for the people beside them
You can take the first step.
You may be a partner, parent, sibling, friend or someone trying to work out how best to help. You do not have to know exactly what to ask.
Tell us in general terms what has happened and what you or your loved one are finding difficult. We can begin there.
If you are contacting us for another person, involve them where possible and respect what they are comfortable sharing.
What we can talk about
The everyday questions matter.
01
Finding a starting point.
Help to identify the most pressing concerns and the next useful conversation.
02
Supporting daily life.
Discussing practical challenges, useful connections and possible volunteer support.
03
Bringing people together.
Exploring how relatives, friends or colleagues could help, including through fundraising.
You can ask a general question first.
A short email is fine: “Someone in my family has had a serious accident. Could we talk about the help available?”
Please leave out medical records and other sensitive documents until we have agreed what is needed and how to share it.
You are welcome here
Support for them. A welcome for you.
Call or email us to talk about your loved one, your questions and what might help your family.
